Creative outlet

So I was talking to my new friend, Jerry tonight about how much I love reading and he pointed out that I should write if I love reading so much.  I never feel like I'm interesting enough to come up with anything to write about but then he said I should get a blog, that it would give me good practice.  Lucky me, I ALREADY HAVE ONE!  Perfect.  I went to Medallion Manor tonight.  It's a home for mentally handicapped adults.  It's very rewarding.  I'm not going to lie, it was very hard for me at first but I've been going every Sunday and I'm getting better and liking it more and more.  Besides, it doesn't matter if I like it or not, I'm not going for me.  Then I played Texas Hold em' and I did pretty well until I got bold in the end and started going all in for every round.  I'm pretty good though for having not played for years.  I finally saw True Grit and loved it.  It reminded me a lot of my Gramps.  I'm chugging right along with this guitar stuff.  I've learned 4 chords and the accompaniment to Amazing Grace.  I'm feeling VERY proud of myself.  I'm finding that this blog is more of me just rambling so I hope the two of you who are paying attention still love my ramblings.  Keep on...keep truckin'.

  1. How did I not know you had a blog!?!? This makes me happy. And you play guitar now? That's it... we're starting a band.

  2. I just started the blog and made Emily promise not to tell anyone. I guess I'm just too awesome to keep my thoughts private. I don't know why I think it's fair to deprive the world of my thoughts. I'm definitely not good enough to start a band with you or I'd so totally be down with that.

  3. Um who's Jerry? I like how he thinks.
Of course I love your ramblings. It's perfectly Kali. And I need to see True Grit. Wish we could see it together.

  4. Just a guy I know. I just mentioned his name because I like that his name is Jerry. I wish we could see True Grit together as well. It's so clever and hilarious but it also has tremendous heart. I miss you.
